Okay so this little "about me" diddy is all because two photographers tagged me... the talented Nicole Green and Amy Martin. I've already done "about me " info before, so now I've really got to dig deep and think hard about giving up information about myslef. So here goes...
1. Just today we noticed Marks brand new powder skis and my new golf clubs that I've used twice have been stolen out of our garage in our new home... welcome to the neighborhood I guess. I want to chop the bloody thiefs hands off in a bad way.
2. Rebekah already mentioned this on her blog, but I curse worse than a sailor, even in front of my own mother *GASP* (sorry mom.) I know it bothers people, but I don't really give a you know what, and sometimes it just feels so good to get the swears out... like my reaction to number one.
3. I am notorious for getting food stains on myself, whether it be from my kids, from my cooking, or from my eating, I am bound to get a stain on my shirt by the end of the day, and almost every time my hubby is there to shake his head and laugh at me.
4. Just had my 10th root canal last Monday. Now all eight of my upper teeth are done. I don't even get notice that I have a cavity, it's just BANG, root canal time.
5. Our wedding song was Annies Song by John Denver.
6. I can't say no, I have a HUGE fear of rejection and confrontation.
7. I consider myself more liberal than conservative, although I won't be voting for Hillary. Actually, I don't know who I'll be voting for, this election is going to be a toughy for me. Honestly I think this country is damned no matter who is in office... which brings me to my last tib bit of info...
8. Taking responsibility for your actions is a BIG one for me. Own what you do, if it was a mistake, just admit it and fix it... it get's me to no end when people pass the buck.
9. I'm really loving the movie and soundtrack of HAIRSPRAY right now.

KARLIS BRIDALS
We squeezed these bridal photos in just days after their engagement shoot, and after that, they got to go to Lake Powell... Lucky! I love when the soon to be groom does the bridal shoot with the bride, it's not stressful, they get to dress up more than once, and they get great photos that will last forever. On this particular subject, since the "wedding thing" has gotten to be bigger than ever, I should start offering "Groomals", you know, formal sessions for the groom only, and maybe just maybe the bride could tag along... it could fly don't you think?

Mike and Karli Engagements
Karli and Mike are NOT serious people, I repeat NOT serious! These guys were so fun to shoot and just had a great time with one another.
As I was looking for one last location to shoot at, I got stuck in the mud *see pics below*
Luckily Mike and Karli weren't around to see me stumbling and grunting like an idoit, but when I couldn't get out for fear of dropping my camera, they came to my aide. It was the kind of mud that's thick and sticky, the kind where the more you try to get out the deeper you get in... just plain gross. I couldn't get it off it was so thick and gooey but Mike found a ditch with running water... I love looking helpless on a photo shoot, it makes my day! So needless to say we didn't shoot in that area but we got some other great shots in not muddy places.

JENS BRIDALS
Jen was sooo easy to take photographs of... I told her to "really give it to me", and she did without any problem. She looked stunning and elegant.
We were so lucky to get this photo shoot done with before torrential rains came pouring down. As the rain was lightly starting, we hurried as fast as we could and she was so patient with me and my notorious "just one more" jibberish. So thanks Jen, I hope your mom doesn't kill us for getting your dress wet *wink wink*.

ISN'T SHE LOVELY?
Sometimes I am amazed and blown away at how beautiful a person can be. I was fortunate enough to shoot Lindas beauty last night in Salt Lake City. I cannot tell you how graceful and willing she was to pose for me... it was effortless for her (although she'd probably tell you it wasn't).
In the middle of our photo shoot, the wind kicked into high gear and took her veil right off her head and shot it straight up in the air... it floated like a balloon and went so high, we thought we'd never see it again. Just as it was about to go over the building it plummeted back to earth, much to our relief.
We ended up shooting at the International Peace Gardens and come to find out, Linda had a little background with the gardens. When the gardens were dedicated 23ish years ago, Lindas parents were contacted to see if her children (Linda with her siblings) would represent Korea. So they were picked and had their photo in the newspaper dressed in their Korean garments. What a coincidence.
Thanks Linda for choosing Kate Benson Photography to capture your beauty!
